"At Cup of Cool Water we work with many youth who are experiencing homelessness. The youth who come into our drop-in center have experienced a great deal of trauma over the course of their lives and as long as the youth is on the street, he or she will continue to experience trauma, such as trafficking. I reached out to Aaron at the Jonah Project because although we are aware that many of our youth have been victims of trafficking, we may not be able to recognize the warning signs or have much of an understanding of how to support someone who has been trafficked. Aaron painted a picture for us of those who have been trafficked, how to recognize someone who may be trafficked, a few questions we may be able to ask and he shared about how we could partner more actively with Jonah project. The volunteers who attended that training are better informed and have more of a clear idea of how and when to support a victim of trafficking. We are so appreciative of this partnership and hope to continue working toward a common goal in service of vulnerable youth in Spokane." -Jeremy Clark Cup of Cool Water - Volunteer Coordinator
