"The Jonah Project is a cause near and dear to my heart. Sex trafficking is a huge issue in Spokane, and the Jonah Project is the only agency in Spokane really making a dent in doing something about it. I’ve worked for them, volunteered for them, made lifelong friends with them, and let me tell you- the Jonah Project is the real deal.
Perhaps the most compelling part of the Jonah Project is the team's emphasis on relationship. They don't consider the survivors as a number or a program participant. They treat this person like a real human being as they walk with them through life. I've witnessed first-hand the joy and freedom they've brought to people as they provide someone's first birthday party ever, or finally break through to a kid that they are loved, or valuable just the way they are. It's a beautiful scene to witness, and exactly the kind of work they do day in and day out. This is the kind of work they intend to expand on as they build an underground railroad to bring light and freedom to human beings across the country. The Jonah Project is the kind of organization that makes me proud to be a Spokanite. The work they do is so important and unique, done so efficiently and with such a pure heart that I can only imagine the places it will go over the coming years."
