The Jonah Project actually started at a high school, and we are excited to continue to build relationships with schools as well as their students, teachers and families. Through partnerships with friends like The HEART Program and Communities In Schools, as well as administrators, teachers and coaches - we effort to provide support to student and counselor alike. With your support It is our hope to continue to offer resources and education to local schools for free!
WE HAVE A STUDENT MEMBERS AT N.C., MT. SPOKANE, G-PREP, REARDAN HIGH and others!
Student Clubs engage in things like Outreach activities, support and advocacy for survivors, educating others about the dangers of grooming, or even organizing and leading awareness events!

"I would like to personally thank you for coming to Mt. Spokane High School and changing the lives of so many of our students and staff members. From the first day I spoke with you guys I could feel the passion and compassion you have...with the knowledge and hands on experience you shared, I have listened to students continuing conversations about this tragedy. I appreciated the way you brought awareness, ways to become advocates, and volunteer options for our students. You made each student realize that victims of such a horrible experience are human being and deserve to be treated like that. You taught our students how to think out of their comfort zones and realize that this is happening right here in Spokane. The dangers of the internet is real and it's vital that our young people know, for this I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had a student come up to me and personally thank me for inviting you guys. They are now a part of our after school club and interested in participating in any way possible."

"One of the things I find every student needs is as many caring adults in their lives as possible. Often times though in the school system there are many students who do not have access to caring adults. The Jonah Project has helped to meet this need for many students at Rogers High School. In my time there I watched as Jonah leaders brought individualized support to students. If a need of a student had to be met, the Project was there to do it. For one student it was a pair of cleats, for another it was paying to have the water in their house turned back on, and yet for another student it was emotional support that stopped a suicide attempt. Jonah meets the student where they are at, as an individual that needs love and support. This individualized care and support is what sets Jonah apart from other non profits when it comes to changing the lives of students in Spokane. I think Aaron Tilbury of the Jonah Project summarized the goals of the organization best when he said "Man, we are just here to love and support these kids through whatever happens."

"My name is N- and I'm one of the seniors you recently spoke to at Gonzaga Prep. My ethics class often has speakers coming in to deliver a pitch for their organization and to hopefully inspire students. Many of the speeches are intended to reach the students and inspire empathy, but sometimes the speaker isn't able to.
I don't believe this to be the case with your presentation... The manner in which you spoke helped reach the students in understanding the horrid reality that is sex trafficking...I seriously hope the Jonah project continues to thrive.
