“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul, than the way it treats its children.” - Nelson Mandela
The Jonah Project actually started at Rogers High School, and we are excited to continue our relationships with schools such as Rogers, NC, Mt. Spokane, Reardan, and Shaw as well as their students, teachers and families. Through partnerships with The HEART Program, Communities In Schools, and even directly with the schools themselves - we effort to provide support to kids and counselors alike.
Here's what some of our friends had to say:
"Jonah Project has been an amazing organization to work with. They work tirelessly to meet students with their needs and where they are at. I have had two students that I work with housed with Jonah Project. Not only did Jonah Project house these vulnerable youth, but went above and beyond. Jonah Project helped get these students mental health services, substance abuse counseling, clothing, mentors and appropriate school placements. Their communication with me has always been excellent, and we have worked together every step of the way to get these high risk kiddos to a stable spot. I have enjoyed working with each and every staff that I have met through the Jonah Project!" -Danielle Duffey HEART Specialist - N.C. high school
"The Jonah Project has done some wonderful work for our students here at Rogers. Virtually every time I contact them with a need for a student-athlete, they come through and are able to help that student-athlete get the equipment or funding needed to participate in their sport. The Jonah Project is a wonderful organization who consistently look out for the students in the Hillyard Community and we very much appreciate their support." -Aaron Brecek Athletic Director - Rogers High School
“The Jonah Project has been a huge blessing for so many kids. Their willingness and ability to meet with students in crisis on short notice has been an invaluable support. Whether it’s just some clothes and a warm meal or housing to escape unspeakable trauma, the Jonah Project has been a life-changing organization for kids in our community.” -Jeremy Day 9th Grade Counselor - Rogers High School
It is our hope to continue to offer resources, materials, and education to local schools for free!
The best way to empower our kids in the Fight for Freedom is to educate them, and let them know we are here for them - NO MATTER WHAT!
